Working Together to Support Youth
We Care Charity, Inc. announced today its partnership with Rise Together, a grassroots organization dedicated to empowering youth to stand up and speak out on issues such as suicide, bullying, mental illness, drugs, and alcohol.
“We are looking forward to working with Rise Together in their mission to educate youth on issues that most affect them,” said Tim Lisowe, president of WOW – We Care Charity, Inc. “We are excited to support them through volunteer efforts, as well as sponsoring speaking engagements and student-led programs for local schools, recovery podcasts, and more.”
He added that substance use is becoming an epidemic with youth in our communities, and Rise Together’s cause was met with a lot of support from the WOW-We Care Board.
“Our efforts would not be possible without the support of organizations like WOW – We Care Charity,” said Anthony Alvarado, president and co-founder of Rise Together. “As a recovery advocacy group, we have a passion for prevention and community engagement. With partners like these, we can continue educating and mobilizing young people to tackle the issues of alcohol and other drug problems amongst adolescents and young adults.”
