RISE Hangouts | Free Youth Drop-In Spaces

A free, monthly drop-in space for youth to connect, be supported, and feel like they belong.

RISE Hangouts are community-based connection spaces for youth ages 12–18. Each Hangout is designed to be welcoming, low-pressure, and accessible. Youth can simply show up, spend time with others, and participate at their comfort level.

What to expect

  • A safe, welcoming space (drop-in style)
  • Trusted adults + positive peer connection
  • Snacks, games, conversation, and optional activities
  • Monthly themes that support wellness, confidence, and growth
  • No cost to attend

This is prevention through connection. When young people feel supported, seen, and included, everything changes.

Who It’s For

Youth ages 12–18 (middle and high school age).

We especially aim to serve youth who face barriers to participation—such as transportation, cost, or a lack of safe community space.

How It Works

Drop-in format: Youth can come and go within the time window.

Optional participation: Every Hangout includes an optional activity/theme, but youth can always choose what feels right for them.

Monthly Themes (examples):

  • creative expression (art, music, spoken word)
  • stress + coping tools
  • leadership and voice
  • healthy relationships
  • confidence + identity
  • gratitude + community service
