Rise Together Celebrates 4 Years of Educating, Engaging, and Empowering Youth

Sept. 12, 2017 – It’s our 4 year anniversary!!!!

Rise Together has started a movement of young people to stand up & speak out on the issues they care about; breaking the silence around bullying, suicide, self-harm, drugs, and alcohol.

After traveling over 200,000 miles, speaking to 130,000+ people, spanning several states, and serving over 53 counties, our team can’t thank all of the supporters enough.  Since the beginning we have helped to raise awareness around addiction & mental health, in hopes that we could help to save at least one life. After taking the stage a few hundred times, it is without a doubt that we have helped to do exactly that. The countless lives that have been impacted is absolutely phenomenal; teachers, professionals, and families included. Without you, especially the students, none of this would have been possible.

Today, we can’t stress enough around the importance of adolescent prevention.  Our research has shown an overwhelming amount of young people are suffering with significant trauma, large amounts of stress, substance use disorder, self-harm, suicidal tendencies, and other mental & behavioral health conditions; families are being torn apart and loved ones are being lost.

Our team is working hard today to reduce negative attitudes toward people with mental health and substance use disorders. We are doing this by being a face of recovery through advocating, educating, and bringing a voice back to the voiceless. With a vision to create a community where our youth are heard, loved, and inspired to live in hope.

As we EDUCATE, ENGAGE and EMPOWER YOUTH with our school & community programs, we want to encourage you all to do the same.  Over 40 million Americans today are addicted to alcohol, nicotine, or drugs; the majority is still suffering in silence.

When we can meet this state of acceptance and equality, we can live in a world free from stigma and with less shame. We have to treat those that struggle with mental health and addiction as individuals; they are more than their diagnosis.

Change starts with YOU. When you bring your #voice to action, you can advocate on the things that you are most passionate about.  Let’s RISE TOGETHER and make a difference!

Much love,

The Rise Together Team
