In 2019, our team at RISE TOGETHER, began developing online training to make their programs more accessible to communities nationwide. It became clear to us that to continue empowering and motivating youth, we would need to equip critical stakeholders to do the same.
RAISEconnection (RISE TOGETHER Youth Professional Development Training) is a training program for teachers, administrators, club sponsors, and community youth workers looking to create safe and brave spaces for youth to strive. Understanding the everyday demands of most working people, we have developed this program to allow participants as much flexibility as possible by creating hybrid programming that involves educational videos (that you watch on your own time), one weekly assignment, and one weekly virtual meeting to review lessons and discuss best practices.
Once leaders are trained, they will be equipped with the tools to best support the youth they serve. They will also be able to provide the comprehensive youth leadership and advocacy program called the RAISE Project.
For the last seven years, RISE TOGETHER has informed, encouraged, and inspired youth through storytelling to be active participants in identifying and solving the problems in their schools, homes, and broader communities. The RAISE Project is the logical progression to that work. After analyzing the surveys of thousands of youth and reviewing the research and best practice recommendations of evidence-based programs around the country, RISE TOGETHER has developed the comprehensive youth leadership and advocacy, The RAISE Project.
