Advisory Board Member, Caroline Miller, Now Director of WI Voices for Recovery

Caroline Miller Now Director of Wisconsin Voices for Recovery 

We are excited to help announce that Caroline Miller will be the new Director of Wisconsin Voices For Recovery ! Caroline has been involved in the project since 2014 as a Community Liaison and Outreach Specialist.

Caroline brings 16 years of experience working in the social services field with a diverse range of populations including children and adults with developmental disabilities, older adults, Veterans, and individuals and families in or seeking mental health and addiction recovery. Caroline grew up in Wisconsin and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Social Policy and Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is on the State Council on Alcohol and other Drug Abuse (SCAODA) Intervention and Treatment Committee, the National Advisory Board for Rise Together, and is a volunteer mentor at Connections Counseling. She has also been involved in a number of recovery related initiatives and projects including Director for the John Adams Recovery Home for Women in Sauk City, a unique model of recovery living that supports women in recovery utilizing Medication Assisted Treatment and trauma support, founder of Live Free Student Wellness and Recovery, and founder of Connect House Sober Living Foundation, which completed a successful merger with the AJM Foundation. In 2015, she was awarded the Texas Research Society on Alcoholism, John T. and Patricia A. O’Neill Addiction Science Education Award for her research on stigma reduction and social support for recently deployed Veterans and was selected for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Women’s Addiction Services Leadership Institute.

Caroline brings her personal experience, vision, and dedication and is excited to step into a leadership role within Wisconsin Voices for Recovery as it continues to move from advocacy to action. In the coming months, the project will also be administering a new statewide program under her leadership. Stay tuned for more information!
